Enjoying the Stillness of Making
In a world that moves so fast, taking the time to make and refine each piece feels calming and satisfying. I hope that same sense of quiet and care comes through in the pottery I create.
My process
I use a high-fire stoneware clay that’s rich in iron. Each piece is thrown on the potter’s wheel, trimmed, and then bisque fired to 1000ºC.
The wares are then dipped in Chun glazes, and all pieces are fired again between 1260ºC and 1270ºC in a small setup at the bottom of my garden in Hertfordshire.
It’s a slow process, with each piece taking around two to three weeks to complete due to the throwing, drying, and glazing stages.
Care Guide
All items are dishwasher and food safe, though washing by hand is best.
Shop updates
As I work in small batches, I aim to update the shop four to six times a year. If you’d like to be notified about future collections and shop updates, please join my mailing list at the bottom of this page.
